CBS – “Opera for Peace: A master class for diversity in the arts”

On Sunday, 25th of August 2024, “CBS Sunday Morning” shed a light on Opera for Peace Academy 2024 alumni Hannah Jeané Jones and Academy 2023 alumni Forooz Razavi – wonderfully talented singers, that Opera for Peace is proud to support with the aim of developing greater diversity among performers of opera, and to inspire the next new generation.
 
Correspondent Seth Doane CBS News talked with African American singer Hannah Jeané Jones, who traveled to Rome before going to Paris, to participate in the program, and soprano Forooz Razavi, who sang with an R&B group in Iran before she fell in love with opera. Also featured – General Director Julia Lagahuzère and Artistic Director Kamal Khan.
