A Voice to the Voices: Julia Lagahuzère for Opera Magazine

Co-founder and General Director of Opera for Peace, Julia Lagahuzère, recently sat down with Opera Magazine’s John Allison to talk about Opera for Peace as the organization reaches its first anniversary:

“The project is very much a passion project, born out of very strong convictions that our system of doing opera needs reinvention,’ she says. ‘We need new ideas, new values, new priorities, new ways of working—and if that was true last year, now we see that it is even more necessary. All projects need support at the beginning, and we’re certainly buoyed up by people’s belief and enthusiasm. That side of things has been very reassuring.”-Julia Lagahuzère
