Opera for Peace x Via Nassa, Lugano

“Cena sotto le stelle” brought together gastronomy, art, music and culture in the heart of Via Nassa, Lugano — a beautiful pre-event, sponsored by BNP Paribas Switzerland, leading into the Opera for Peace Academy 2026.
 
We were especially delighted to have two of our very first Academy artists perform – the amazing Yolisa Ngwexana, Opera for Peace Emerging Artist, and Leonardo Sánchez – Tenor, Opera for Peace Emerging Artist Alumni. They were accompanied on the piano by none other than Andrea Amarante, General Director and Artistic Director for Music at LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, where the Opera for Peace Academy 2026 is currently taking place. We thank them and Via Nassa for this inspiring cooperation – together, we are creating new connections and building bridges between the city and the international world of opera.
 
We are immensely proud of our Academy artists, past and present, and of the ever-growing opera community they represent.
