OfP Emerging Artist Ihor Mostovoi – The Documentary
26th December 2025Ihor Mostovoi: A Voice for Peace
Filmed & directed by Opera for Peace Art & Production Design Director Michel El Ghoul, this new documentary follows Ukrainian singer Ihor Mostovoi, an Opera for Peace Emerging Artist, from his childhood in Mariupol to international stages and training at leading institutions such as the Académie de l’Opéra national de Paris. Just as his path begins to open, the war in Ukraine forced him into displacement and imposed silence – but not into giving up.
Through exile and resilience, the film captures his return to the stage and his deepening commitment to opera as a force for dialogue and healing. By giving voice to wartime testimonies through projects such as Letters from the Frontline, Ihor transforms music into an act of witness and remembrance.
Through Opera for Peace, he discovers not only artistic growth, but a mission: to become a voice for his people, carrying memory, culture, and hope across borders.
