Forooz Razavi
SopranoIranian soprano Forooz Razavi is the winner of the 2017 Voci Verdiane Competition and became one of the young artists of Accademia Teatro alla Scala 2019/2021 Season, in which she made her debut as Alice Ford in Falstaff in September 2021 and Soprano in Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 in November 2021. Highlights of her operatic career include 2nd Soprano in Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 under the baton of Neeme Järvi with Estonian Symphony Orchestra in September 2023, Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera at Opera de Oviedo (Spain) covering for Soprano Anna Pirozzi, Alice Ford in Falstaff at Cottbus International Festival directed by Daniele Abbado, Annina in La Traviata at Teatro Regio di Parma as part of the Accademia Verdiana Opera Studio and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni at Immling Festival (Germany). She was also featured as principal soprano on Tenor Bryan Hymel’s latest recording, produced by Erato Warner Classics. The album contains a variety of Italian Belcanto arias.
Ms. Razavi is one of Opera for Peace 2023 Academy Artists, with whom she made her Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 debut alongside Thomas Hampson and under the guidance of her current teacher and mentor Michael Paul and tenor Brian Jagde.
She is recipient of the Liricadomani award of the Magda Olivero International Competition and the Young Artist Award of the Angelo Loforese International Competition.
She currently resides in Milan and is preparing for her upcoming debuts of Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor and Violetta in La Traviata.
